Oversized garbage in Setagaya City: fees and how to dispose
Step by step
- BookBy phone, online, chat, fax. Online booking (Japanese)
- PayBuy a paid oversized-waste ticket (粗大ごみ処理券) — Ticket A (¥200) or Ticket B (¥300) — at a convenience store or other shop handling them, and attach it to the item, or pay online when applying over the internet
- Put it outDrop-off by advance reservation at the Funabashi Oversized Waste Transfer Station (on designated Saturdays/Sundays, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–3:30 PM). The fee is about half the collection price. Up to 10 items per household per day

Not accepted as oversized garbage
- Air conditioners, TVs, refrigerators/freezers, washing machines/clothes dryers (covered by the Home Appliance Recycling Law)
- Household computers
- Waste generated by a business
Support and fee waivers
- Households of only people age 65 or older, or only people with disabilities, who have no one nearby to help may be able to use "Fureai Collection" (door-to-door pickup) (ふれあい収集) after consulting the city in advance
